M.Maurer - A Viennese family business with history and soul
Our name has stood for craftsmanship, quality and reliability since 1863
What began as a small trimmings workshop is now the last of its kind in Vienna - and is known far beyond the city limits. For over 160 years, we have dedicated ourselves to the art of textile finishing: with cords, braids, tassels, ribbons and uniform effects.
We are proud of our craft and of the people who wear it. From dirndl jewellery to the President, from the theatre stage to honorary awards: our trimmings tell stories. And we tell them too.
6 generations - 1 mission: Preserving textile culture
M.Maurer is more than just a company - it's a calling.
We have been running our company as a family business since 1863. Today, it is Konrad Maurer and his son Albertwho continue to write history - with a sensitivity for tradition and a clear view of the future. Our team consists of 27 employeesincluding experienced craftspeople, young talents and two hearing-impaired colleagues. Together with over 20 home-based artisans, we preserve an almost forgotten craft with heart, skill and responsibility.
A history with depth - our timeline since 1863
M.Maurer is not just a company - it is a living piece of Austrian industrial history. Since its foundation by Hans Maurer in 1863, each generation has left its mark. Every relocation, every takeover, every new product tells of pioneering spirit, crisis resistance and innovative strength.
