Our production - where craftsmanship meets history
Precision since 1863 - production with tradition & character
Textile masterpieces are created at the M.Maurer Posamentrie manufactory - on
machines that tell stories. From historical looms to precise braiding machines, from fine bouillon yarns to elaborate embroidery: our production is a living monument to Austrian craftsmanship.
Every step of production takes place in Vienna - locally, sustainably and with real flair.
Our six production divisions – behind 3,000 products and one promise of quality
Get to know our workshops - each with its own technique, speciality and soul.
Embroidery
We embroider emblems, appliqués, medals and name stripes - in gold, silver, yarn or thread - on state-of-the-art and historical machines. For uniforms, paraments & design projects.
Weaving mill
Our looms produce the finest borders, passepoils, elasticated decorative ribbons and jacquard patterns for traditional costume, furniture, stage and festive decor.
Galloon
We use galon machines to produce elegant fringes, crepes and a wide range of trimmings - from traditional uniform fringes to modern lampshade trims.
Braiding
This is where soutache, braids, braids and cords are made. The oldest machines work with a precision that modern technology can hardly match - perfect for exact uniform effects or elegant decorative elements.
Spinning mill
Whether gilded bouillon, fine embroidery threads or leonic weave - we produce materials that are indispensable, especially in monastic work, embroidery and paramentry.
Handcrafted
Where machines end, our craftsmanship begins: shooting cords, field ribbons, epaulettes, chandelier tassels, customised trimmings - each of them a unique piece with soul.

What makes our products truly unique? They carry history – and heart. In our workshop on Kandlgasse, small masterpieces are created every day. More than 3,000 items, crafted on around 100 machines – many of them as old as our tradition itself. A look inside our workshops is always worth it.
